AppTimeOut ("we", "us", or "our") is an app developed and operated by AppTimeOut. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information We Collect
- Account info: Your email address and display name when you sign in with Apple or Email.
- Blocked apps & websites: Names and identifiers of apps and websites you choose to block. These are stored to sync your block list across sign-ins.
- Accountability buddies: Names and email addresses of buddies you add, used only to deliver unlock codes.
- Usage data: Lock session timestamps and basic app usage statistics used to display your activity history.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect browsing history or content from blocked websites.
- We do not collect Screen Time data beyond what you explicitly add to your block list.
- Unlock codes are generated in-memory and are never stored on our servers.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide app blocking and accountability features.
- To send unlock code emails to your accountability buddies when you request one.
- To sync your block list and buddies across sign-ins.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Your data is stored securely in the cloud and protected so that only you can access your own data.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen inside the app. Alternatively, contact us at support@apptimeout.com and we will remove your data within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
AppTimeOut is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
